UN SDSN is seeking a talented individual to support the SDSN Senior Manager with the Aristotle-Confucius symposium line of work.

The SDSN Asia Headquarters, hosted by Sunway University, is seeking a thoughtful and talented problem solver to join our dynamic team in the Kuala Lumpur office. The successful candidate will work with the Senior Fellow and researchers of SDSN to conduct research and analysis for contemporary economic issues. You will support the team in research, interpreting data and articulating your findings in a clear and insightful manner.

The Senior Fellow works within a team and leads in implementing the economic research programs under the supervision of the VP for Asia & Head of Kuala Lumpur Office. As a Senior Fellow, you will provide research-based policy advice, and mentor junior colleagues. Develop and maintain effective relationships and networks with government agencies, NGOs, academicians and external experts.

In 2025, the SDG Transformation Center will produce a tenth edition of the Sustainable Development Report 2025, which is the organization’s flagship report that provides the most comprehensive assessment of the performance of all 193 UN Member States on the 17 SDGs. The SDG Transformation Center also works with the Governments of Benin and Uzbekistan to support countries’ efforts to monitor SDGs progress, identify priorities for action, and understand key implementation challenges and gaps that must be addressed to achieve the SDGs by 2030 and beyond. Under these partnerships, the SDG Transformation Center will produce the next edition of the Benin Sustainable Development Report and will develop the SDG Index and Dashboards for Uzbekistan’s regions that will enable tracking the SDG progress across the country.

To support these efforts, the SDG Transformation Center is seeking an intern to join its team in Paris, France, for a six-month internship starting in early January.
