The consultant will work with the SPA team and several colleagues to develop an overall engagement strategy to work with the financial sector in the Amazon region and support conservation and a sustainable bioeconomy. The consultant may oversee several projects and initiatives.

The SDSN Asia Headquarter (hosted by Sunway University) is seeking a dynamic and talented individual to help develop and manage National and Regional SDSNs in Asia, and to support their efforts to localize the SDGs. Based out of the Kuala Lumpur office of the SDSN, hosted by Sunway University, the staff will report to the Senior Network Manager (KL office) and Director, Finance and Operations (KL office) and works closely with the SDSN Global team. The position may require international travel occasionally.

The Science Panel for the Congo Basin (SPCB) was launched on 3rd December 2023, at COP28 in Dubai. The SPCB is an independent platform for scientists from the region to synthesize the existing knowledge including Indigenous peoples and autochthonous knowledge, on the functioning of, and threats to, the Congo Basin and its ecosystems.

Led by and comprised primarily of leading scientists from the region, the SPCB will undertake a comprehensive synthesis of the available scientific knowledge on the Congo Basin, including Indigenous peoples and autochthonous knowledge, to generate a high-quality independent assessment report to be presented at COP30.
